I am a Romanian studying in Vienna and am currently on exchange at the University of Texas at Austin. I heard of SXSW from some friends from Austin and decided to volunteer. Before actually experiencing south by, I was an ardent listener of house/trance music while ignorant of any other genre.

The story of how I found out about you guys is pretty peculiar: while I was checking out the day parties and gigs of a lot of bands, I had about half an hour to kill before meeting with my volunteer group to work on a venue. Walking on 6th street I decided where to go, I remembered darwin's pub (one of my favorite bars on 6th) and went in to see who was playing. The band was good, but not amazing. So I took the backdoor and, what is next to Darwin's? LATITUDE 30 - Scottish Showcase. I had about 5 minutes before meeting with the other volunteers and decided to check it out for ONE SONG! and guess what: The song was "A GOOD REASON"! The song was stuck in my head for the rest of the night. I got home at about 4:30 and started my research. That is how I found out that you were playing your last show at SXSW the next day.

Peculiar or not, we had two interns at 4AD couchsurfing at the apartment I rented for the spring semester. After I told them how much in awe I am with your music, they told me that they have a broken records poster, and that I can have it. My biggest regret at SXSW is that I didn't take the poster to have it signed by you!

All in all, big cheers for helping enlarge my music knowledge! Keep up the good work! And... I guess it was destiny!

Been a pretty busy start to the year, what with pulling together new songs, re-designing the site, dealing with the January Blues etc, but almost feels like the air is getting clearer...so....a quick visit to SXSW in Austin, TX is on the cards. Anyone going?

As it's my first visit to the states, and it's gonna be a brief and busy one, I need some tips (what to do/see/eat/drink etc)?

The BIGGEST question may well be 'best place to get a supremely strong, black coffee'?

I think my guilty pleasures would be One Tree Hill, Ugly Betty and I enjoyed the pilot episode of 'Glee', so will be watching the series when it starts next Monday.

But other general favourites would be Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, Hustle, Silent Witness, Doctor Who, Top Gear (when I remember its on), Gavin & Stacey (I am REALLY gonna miss it), Friends (still) and more..

The first of mine is find a new job and to swap banks!!

I have no intention of giving up chocolate, however I may try and eat a little more sensibly in general as ideally I'd like to lose a bit of weight (suppose I should give up the chocolate); my oldest friend is getting married in November and I am bridesmaid / maid of honour, and I really don't wanna look like a lump in a dress!

I intend to travel more, and I'm gonna invest in a bike and go off riding around the lanes that surround my village!
